Just A Mole Removal

JUST A MOLE REMOVAL

I got a mole removed today.. I was thinking, you walk in, they freeze it and maybe it falls off or something and than you go home and everything is ok....NOOO I get there and have to fill out papers for Surgery..Surgery?? I asked, I'm just getting a mole removed, she said yeah its not that bad, it doesn't really hurt...so as I'm waiting in the room the middle-aged women in the room next to me is also getting one removed, I hear the doctor walk in the room and tell her he's just going to burn it off.. next thing I hear the lady Screaming "OWWWWWEE" "OWWEEE".. I'm already freaking out.. than they move me to another room, I see a cortorizing machine, scizzors, needles the whole nine yards.... did mine get cortorized off...NO mine got cut off, although I was Numb I could still hear and feel the scizzors cutting and pulling the mole off.. I could feel the needle going through my skin when I got my stiches.... I almost passed out on the way out and had to go back to the room and lay down for about 20 mins... I am a big baby and I hate needles... now I'm in pain.. Now I realize why you can't get all your moles removed in one day..

MY WEIGHT LOSS SECRETS

I'm sure that I'm not the only one in this world that deals with hypothyroid disease (a disease that slows the metabolism and effects the overall health). However, I can say that I do my share in eating the right things to maintain a healthy weight regardless of how else it may effect me. It hasn't always been easy for me to keep weight off. I feel like my entire life was a diet. I faithfully tried many diets from the Atkins, slim fast drinks, low fat/low calorie, to starving myself for days to shrink my stomach and my weight would continue to increase on the scales. Many of these diets don't let you eat "Alot". I was/am always hungry. I recall waking up in the middle of the night and going downstairs to eat and than going back to bed, still feeling that gut starving feeling. I honestly didn't believe there would be something to help me. Every diet seemed to fail.

I than heard about a weight loss program that was working for a friend of mine, so I joined. I'm not publicizing this place it did cost me a lot of money, was well worth it and I will share with you some secrets that have changed my life for good! I no longer "Diet". I eat more than I ever did before. I am still always hungry because I deal with hypothyroid disease but no longer feel guilty for eating.

At first I had to learn to eat categories of food. Every category is important.

  • You must eat Starch, yes Starch NO MORE THAN 2 (high fiber/whole wheat bread, pasta, sweet potato, small baked potato, 1 oz baked chips, tomato/spinach tortillas etc.).
  • You must eat AT LEAST 2 fruits (apples, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, bananas, 100% OJ not from concentrate, pineapples etc.) I like to blend a bunch of frozen berries/fruits with 100% not from concentrate juices and even cucumbers to make a juice that I can drink all day/night guilt free.
  • You must eat AT LEAST 2 vegetables (try eating veggies high in fiber such as broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, spinach, cucumber, zucchini, onion, green peppers try to steer away from starchy veggies such as peas/corn/green beans).
  • You must eat 2 servings of Protein (6oz lean steak, chicken breasts, tuna fish, 2 eggs, salmon, 2 tbsp of low fat Peanut Butter, a hand full of unsalted nuts etc).
  • You must eat 1 or 2 servings of dairy (lite yogurt, tbsp of cream cheese, cheese slice, string cheese, 8 oz skim milk, low-fat cottage cheese etc)
  • You must eat 1 or 2 servings of FAT (1 tsp butter, not margarine, 10 nuts, 1tsp cream cheese, tsp olive oil etc)
  • You should use condiments but limit yourself to 2 a day (basically teaspoons of anything such as salad dressing, ketchup, mustard, relish, coffee creamer, sugar-free jelly etc)
  • You must try to drink 64 oz of H2O or about 4 water bottles a day
  • You must have a couple sprinkles of Morton Lite Salt each day.
  • You may drink coffee, unsweetened tea and diet soda (p.s. diet soda is high in sodium, so limit it to 2)

It is important that you eat ALL categories EVERY day. Its been a couple years since I started that program and I no longer think about it, I automatically eat every food item. I have maintained my weight at about 125lbs for a couple years now, without the ups and downs of dieting.

Some tricks: VEGETABLES... I'm not much for veggies so I trick myself. I like to cook spinach, green peppers, onions & mushrooms and throw a couple of eggs in it with a slice of cheese for breakfast. If I have sausage than I will also put a little bit of that in it too!....for dinner sometimes I take a veg medley such as broccoli, cauliflower and carrots and put a slice of cheese melted on it and it makes them tasty! FRUITS....I now love fruits, but at first fruits were not part of my daily routine. I started out by making cinnamon apples.. I would cut an apple into chunks leaving the peel on, and sprinkle some sweetener on it and a bit of Cinnamon and pop it in the microwave for a couple minutes and it is delicious! Once I started getting into these habits of eating, categories I have never had to diet since.

I hope these tips were helpful for you. If you seriously are someone who is struggling with weight I encourage you to follow my steps that I took and you will be on your way to a healthy lifestyle in no time!.... Please feel free to post any questions of comments regarding this post.

It's Just A Bee!

Today, I was driving from McDonald's and suddenly felt a pinch like a hair was being ripped out and a sharp pain in my thigh. Instantly, I got a hot flash and felt dizzy. I whipped my truck across the lane next to me and into a parking lot, looking down I realized there was a bee attached to my thigh, I grabbed a napkin and threw the bee out the window. Immediately, I went into panic mode. I thought to my self "This might not be good". Not certain if I was allergic, I raced to find the hydrocortizone I always keep near. Whipping down my pants I see two tiny red dots. I quickly applied a heaping pile of hydrocortizone cream. Suddenly, I feel better......It was not as bad as I imagined it to be. By the time I reached home the pain was nearly forgotten. I am actually quite thankful for this experience I had today.
